The Old Hibbard Store

We need donations, and sales to support our museum.

If you would like to make a financial donation, you may do so via Paypal. If you have items you think we might be interested in, please call Carol Radford, our accession registrar, at 636-629-3968 or email her at carol_radford At yahoo dot com.

We have been selling history calendars, a vintage cookbook, and Route 66 reproduction postcards around St. Clair, but we realize there are many St. Clair ex-pats– people who grew up here, whose families are still here, and have since moved out away from east central Missouri. We are reaching out to you to support your hometown history museum.

COMING SOON: the new Main Dish St. Clair Museum Cookbook II. Historic and family recipes from real people’s kitchens. We will let you know when it is available.

We bring you a bit of home which you can now obtain over the Internet. These items are for sale locally at the prices listed. Even though we are a non-profit, we still have to pay the USPS shipping just like everyone else. Unlike most online merchandisers, we DO NOT gouge you with our shipping rates. We charge only first class shipping at standard rates, plus a few cents to cover the cost of bubble wrap envelopes.
If you require expedited shipping, please call us with an order, and we can adjust accordingly.

St. Clair has been home to 3 alignments of U.S. Route 66 over the years of the road’s existence, and much of the town’s history is tied to it. These are reproductions of vintage Route 66 postcards in sets of 20 which were rescued from the fire. Many are black and white, some are color, and there is no guarantee which cards are in which packets. They are clearly marked as reproductions. Series 3, 4 and 5 are available, or you can get the whole set with discounted shipping. $10 with $3 shipping; all three sets $30 with $6 shipping.
